Rotator Cuff Injuries (RCI) are one of the most common conditions that response to the combination of rehabilitation techniques and Laser Therapy at Alberta Laser Rehabilitation Centre (ALRC). Shoulder pain can be debilitating and that could affect your daily activities.
Rotator Cuff consist of group of muscles and tendons, these are the Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, Teres Minor and Subscapularis also know as your SITS muscles. Rotator cuff injury and inflammation is one of the major causes of shoulder pain. Symptoms varies from not being able to sleep at night, limitation of range of motion, sharp pain upon movement or constant dull-achy feeling. Complications may occur within surrounding soft tissues and patients often complain referral pain going down the arms and hands and stiffed neck.
Here’s what a happy patient has to say .. “Two years ago, I had a severe rotator cuff injury in my left shoulder. I was in a great deal of pain, had little range of motion and was getting little sleep due to pain. I started laser light therapy at Alberta Laser Rehabilitation Centre in Calgary. After two treatments I finally managed four hours of sleep. After the fourth treatment the pain was manageable and slept that night. After the sixth treatment I was pain-free. I had nearly full range of motion after the 12th treatment and had no recurrent pain. This is a wonderful drug free treatment for pain!!!” Susan G.
